Any help with the following would be much appreciated.

I’ve started commuting from Berkhamsted to Kenton and have a monthly rail travel card to cover this.

Approx once a week I need to go from Berkhamsted directly to Euston. At Harrow and Wealdstone or Watford Junction the train enters Oyster territory. So assuming the last part of the journey into London is cheaper by Oyster, I jump out of the train to “touch in”. Unfortunately this usually means I can’t get back on the train in time, last time I had to wait 20min for the next one, which was so crowded I couldn’t get on, so it took me 2 hours to get to work in total. I have the same problem on the way home.

Is there a way to do this without leaving the train (and risking my connections)not ‘touch in’? Or any other way to make such a commute work?

    Thanks a lot
